GOATS! Yes, you read that right!
Exciting News at the Alpine A-Frames: Meet Our New Goats!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news that’s been bringing joy, laughter, and lots of “aww!” moments to guests of all ages. The Alpine A-Frames have officially welcomed a herd of friendly goats to the property—and they’re already stealing hearts!
If you’re planning a stay with us (or even thinking about it), here’s everything to know about this fun new addition.
A Unique Farmstay Experience on the Bluff
One of the things guests love most about the Alpine A-Frames is the peaceful mountain setting. Now, we’ve enhanced the experience even further by creating a mini farmstay atmosphere—while still keeping the upscale, luxury cabin feel.
Behind each of our six A-Frame cabins, you’ll now find a fenced pasture area where 4–5 adorable, gentle goats live. Whether you're waking up with morning coffee or enjoying the evening mountain breeze, you can look out onto the hillside and see them grazing, playing, and posing for photos.
Pet, Feed & Enjoy—Right From Your Cabin
What makes this experience even more special is how up close and personal you can get with our little herd.
Every cabin has convenient access to the shared fence line backing up to the pasture. Guests are welcome to:
Pet the goats through the fence
Ring the bell to call them over
Offer complimentary grain that we provide
And trust us—once that bell rings, the goats come trotting in with excitement. It’s a delightful experience for families, couples, and anyone who appreciates a touch of charm and farm life.
(And yes… they absolutely love photo ops. 📸)
Guests Are Loving Them!
Since introducing the goats, we’ve had incredible feedback from guests:
Kids are spending hours watching and feeding them the complimentary grain we provide
Adults are enjoying peaceful moments on the deck with goats wandering below
Groups are loving the added charm and connection to nature
Many guests say the goats were an unexpected highlight of their stay
The best part? You get all the benefits of a farmstay—fun interactions, animal therapy moments, and unique memories—without sacrificing the comforts and luxury of your A-Frame cabin.
Bringing More Joy to the Alpine A-Frames Experience
Adding goats to the property has brought a whole new kind of magic to Alpine A-Frames. Whether they’re stretching up the fence for treats, sunbathing in the pasture, or trotting over at the sound of the bell, they bring a sense of simple joy that our guests tell us makes their stay unforgettable.
We love creating special touches that make your time here truly unique—and the goats are quickly becoming one of the most beloved features of the entire property.
We can’t wait for you to experience this charming new addition. See you—and the goats—soon!
Our A-Frame Summer Recap
Summer was very busy over at the Alpine A-Frames… and as summer comes to a close, Chattanooga has once again reminded travelers why it’s one of the South’s most beloved destinations. Nestled between the Tennessee River and Lookout Mountain, the city offered the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, cultural experiences, and laid-back Southern charm. Here’s a look back at what visitors loved most about spending their summer in Chattanooga while staying at our Alpine A-Frames!
Life on the River
For many, summer in Chattanooga revolved around the Tennessee River. Warm days brought travelers to the waterfront for kayaking and paddle boarding, while evenings were all about riverboat cruises that showcased the city skyline at sunset. The Tennessee Riverpark buzzed with festivals, food trucks, and live music, giving visitors a chance to relax by the water while soaking in Chattanooga’s community spirit.
Mountain Escapes
When the heat climbed, Lookout Mountain called. Travelers marveled at Rock City Gardens, where summer blooms framed the famous “See 7 States” view. Underground, Ruby Falls offered a cool, refreshing retreat into a magical cavern with its 145-foot waterfall. And no trip was complete without riding the Incline Railway, where the steep climb rewarded passengers with sweeping views of the valley below.
Festivals That Brought the City to Life
Summer in Chattanooga was full of music, flavor, and celebration. The Riverbend Festival lit up the waterfront with headlining acts and local talent, while the Chattanooga Market brought together artisans, farmers, and food vendors each weekend. Visitors also fell in love with the Nightfall Concert Series, where downtown streets turned into a lively block party every Friday night.
Flavorful Finds
Travelers couldn’t get enough of Chattanooga’s food and drink scene. Riverside patios dished out Southern comfort food and ice-cold craft beers, while neighborhood breweries kept the summer vibes going with seasonal ales. And on those sweltering afternoons, nothing hit the spot quite like a scoop of locally made ice cream or gelato.
Outdoor Adventures
From biking the 16-mile Riverwalk to splashing in Chickamauga Lake, summer days were made for exploring. Families picnicked by the water, hikers chased waterfalls in nearby state parks, and adventurers found no shortage of ways to connect with nature—all within minutes of downtown.
Why Summer in Chattanooga Was Unforgettable
What travelers loved most about Chattanooga this summer was the balance it offered: thrilling adventures by day, music and food by night, and stunning scenery all around. It’s a city where you can paddleboard on the river in the morning, ride up a mountain by afternoon, and catch a live concert under the stars that same evening.
As one visitor summed it up perfectly: “Chattanooga feels like the best mix of mountain escape and river city fun—there’s something new every day.”
✨ With fall just around the corner, Chattanooga is gearing up for a new season of color, festivals, and cozy mountain escapes. If summer was this good, autumn promises to be even more magical.
